Channel up and Down Button Wiring

This page will show you how to wire and/or install the channel changing buttons on a stock or after market Microphone.

If your radio has one pin for changing channels use the Single wire method.
If you radio has two pins for changing channels use the Dual wire method.

Single Wire Channel Up and Down

For the Ch Switches use a Momentary Normally open push button (SPST NO).
For the resistor use anywhere from a 5k ohm up to a 10k ohm 1/4 watt.

Single Wire Radio Shack Stock Mic w/Lock

For the Ch Switches use a Momentary Normally open push button (SPST NO).
For the Ch Lock use a Locking push button or Toggle SPST switch.
For the resistor use anywhere from a 5k ohm up to a 10k ohm 1/4 watt.
