Personally I don't think so, with the up coming merger I believe they will both get better. Pick the one that currently has what you want most.

Yes! With most of the "Plug -n- Play" units they have out now the hardest part can taking it out of the box, Even if you a Factory radio in your vehicle.

Yes it works in Canada just fine. If you live in Canada and set up your billing address from Canada However, you will not have access to all the programming. If you use an American billing address you will get the full line-up.

Most of the antennas were not meant to be serviced. Some repair shops might be able to repair it at the antenna end by shortening the wire but, not everyone can or will do this. Some of the newer Truck Mount antennas do have a replaceable cable, which can be purchased from some locations.

| Why do I lose signal when I travel in one direction but not another? |
Check your antenna installation. The antenna needs to be able to see the sky line at all directions. Keep in mind also that the antenna only receives signal from the top and sides, it Does Not receive signal from underneath its base, so keep it facing upward at all times.

This usually means that the antenna is not sending any info to the receiver. Make sure the antenna has a good view of the South to South West sky. If this was a working system, check the cable for breaks and inspect the antenna it may need replaced.

No. The sat antenna does not have anything to do with the signal going from the sat radio to your am/fm radio.
